As many as 60,000 fans could be in attendance when Inter have their Serie A home opener against Torino on August 26 according to a report from Corriere dello Sport.
Ticket sales for the match, which will be Inter’s second league match of the season, have currently already exceeded the 50,000 mark, inclusive of season ticket sales and the Nerazzurri look set to better last year’s attendance for their first league home game which came against Fiorentina which attracted 51,752 fans to the San Siro.
The report from the Rome based news outlet also adds that Inter’s Champions League match plan’s are selling well despite the fact their opponents are as yet unknown and will not be known until the end of the month after the group stage draw in Montecarlo on August 30. The real boom is expected to come after the draw has been made but the sales so far are a good thing regardless.
