Marcelo Brozovic and Miranda are in contention to play in Saturday’s final pre-season encounter with Atletico Madrid at the Spanish side’s Wanda Metropolitano home according to a report from Corriere dello Sport.
Brozovic and Miranda, both of whom were at the World Cup over the summer have been in training this week and have shown enough to manager Luciano Spalletti in terms of fitness to warrant possible selection for Saturday’s match.
The report from the Rome based news outlet add that Ivan Perisic and Sime Vrsaljko will both start their preparations ahead of the coming season starting tomorrow at Appiano Gentile. Both finished runners up at the World Cup alongside Brozovic but Brozovic returned to training ahead of schedule. Neither player is expected to be ready for Saturday’s game and the report also states that Vrsaljko will be officially presented next week despite him being signed for a number of weeks already.
