Former Inter defender Giovanni Bia is fully behind Inter’s courtship of Monaco winger Keita Balde and believes his potential arrival would address the squad’s lack of speed.

“I think he is an extraordinary player, he goes past his opponents with a disarming speed and ease and he has probably paid a bit for some exuberant behaviour in his youth. In my opinion, he would be perfect for the way Inter play. The Nerazzurri are a very physical team, but they lack a bit of speed,” Bia, who played for Inter during the 1994/95 season said in an interview with Sky Sport.

Bia proceeded to discuss another potential arrival at the San Siro in the shape of Luka Modric and what his arrival could mean for Inter and their chances of winning the title this year.

“Luka Modric? If he joins, then the Nerazzurri are then the best placed team to compete for the title against Juventus.”
