Luka Modric is set to be given an extra €1 million per year by Inter which would take his annual net salary to €7.5 million according to a report from Spanish newspaper AS.
The 32-year-old Croatian midfielder – who is understood to be unhappy with the disparity between his and Gareth Bale’s wages – will be signing his last big contract of his career if he manages to convince Real Madrid to sell him and the report from AS also states that part of the deal with joining Inter would see him play out the last years of his career in China with their Chinese cousins Jiangsu Suning.
AS do however insist that the base of Modric’s desire to leave Los Blancos is not for money but due to wanting a new challenge at this stage of his career having just won three Champions League titles in a row with the Santiago Bernabeu club.
