With just a few hours left of the English transfer window, Tottenham Hotspur officials are to try everything to grant manager Mauricio Pochettino a new signing in Inter midfielder Joao Mario according to a report from Sport Mediaset.
Spurs have made an offer using the loan with right to redemption transfer formula, a formula that does not convince Inter who were hoping to sell the 25-year-old outright. Inter must decide whether to just accept this offer or wait it out and take a risk and hope that other offers arrive instead.
Reports in the media in recent days have suggested that Spanish club Real Betis are keen on signing him but were looking to hold off until the English transfer window shut before making a move.
The Portuguese international midfielder’s former club Sporting Lisbon have also been linked with making a move to bring him back just two years after he left.
