Luka Modric Reportedly Angry With Real Madrid – Wants Inter Transfer

Florentino Perez does not give up, and neither does Modric, so now there are two walls pitted against each other. The Croatian’s decision in going to Inter has not changed despite the standing ovations received at Bernabeu when Real Madrid played against Milan and Luka is pushing his entourage to make a move happen.

At the same time Florentino Perez is ready to take back his promise to Modric in order to make him stay in Madrid. All in all a surreal story that will have its end when Real Madrid leaves for Tallin for the European Supercup final and the Italian transfer market closes.

So at the moment everything is on hold, something that is confirmed by Italian newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport who reports: “Modric is not ready to surrender nor has he accepted Real Madrid’s decision and last Friday he once again told his President that he wants to leave. He wants to go to Inter, something that is proven by his close relationship with his teammates in the Croatian national team currently at Inter and he is disappointed with Perez who apparently is not keeping his word given to the player in the past.

“The Real Madrid number 10 does not want a painful breakup, as was the case with Kovacic who practically went on strike, but is clearly angry and frustrated with the situation – despite rumors of a successful contract renewal. At the Inter headquarters everything is still possible and the case is still open and the management is waiting for how the situation will be resolved, should a Modric move open up Inter will have to find a player willing to leave, at the moment the only player available for a move is Joao Mario.

“In that case a spot on the roster opens up as the financial set up is in place for Modric to come to Milano. Since the Premier League transfer market is closed the possible destinations are Spain, France and Turkey. Should it be impossible to trade Joao Mario away, bringing Keita Baldé will be the final Inter move in this summer’s transfer market” the Gazzetta conclude.
