Independiente Reject Inter’s Loan With Redemption Offer For Maxi Meza

Inter have been knocked back in their late transfer window attempt to land Argentine international midfielder Maximilliano ‘Maxi’ Meza according to a report from TuttoMercatWeb.

The Nerazzurri proposed a loan with right to redemption offer for the 26-year-old but his club Independiente rejected this transfer formula and instead requested between €12-13 million to allow Meza to leave the Estadio Libertadores da America. With just hours remaining until the Italian transfer window slams shut, it is unlikely that Inter will be able to go back in and try and reach a deal with the Argentine club over a transfer for Meza.

The report goes on to state that Inter sporting director Piero Ausilio has been in talks with the players agent Marcelo Simonian to try and get a deal in place that would allow Inter to sign him this time next year and an update on this is expected to soon follow.
