Candreva Is At The Bottom Of The Wing Pecking Order At Inter

Antonio Candreva is at the bottom of the winger pecking order at Inter as evidenced by the fact he was left on the bench while all his competition got some action in the 1-0 defeat to Sassuolo on Sunday night.

However, Turin based newspaper Tuttosport believe that there could be a perfectly good reason behind this.

They suggest that manager Luciano Spalletti has been advised by the club’s hierarchy not to deploy the Italian who has attracted interest from several French, German and Spanish clubs, with the transfer market still open in each of those countries until the end of the month.

It remains to be seen if anything comes from Monaco. The principality club and the Nerazzurri have already done a deal between themselves during the summer which saw Keita Balde move to the San Siro and Candreva’s name was brought up during talks and a swap deal was mooted in the press however Candreva asked for time to think which caused Inter to break up that idea in favour of bringing Keita in on a separate deal.
