Former Inter Midfielder Rafinha Set For Betis Move

Former Inter midfielder Rafinha is close to completing a loan move to Spanish side Real Betis, according to reports in the Catalan press.

The Brazilian made 17 appearances on loan for the Nerazzurri during the 2017-18 season, scoring twice and providing three assists as Luciano Spalletti’s men secured qualification for the UEFA Champions League, but was forced to return to parent club Barcelona in the summer after Inter failed to exercise their €35 million purchase clause for the player.

However Rafinha is on the verge of leaving the La Liga champions again this season after the summer arrivals of Arthur and Arturo Vidal pushed him further down the midfield pecking order.

According to Sport, Betis are poised to sign the 25 year-old on an initial loan deal worth €1.5 million with an option to buy for a further €23 million. The Andalusian side however are also due to pay a further €500,000 if they win a trophy this season.
