Gazzetta dello Sport have taken a look at Ivan Perisic’s importance to the Inter cause, bringing up some of the key facts during his spell with the Nerazzurri.
Perhaps the most telling stat that shows his importance is that no player has made more league appearances than Perisic has in the past three years for Inter with the Croatian making 109. No midfielder had more shots than Perisic did last term across the league either as he attempted 116 and he had the second most crosses across the league with 199 to his name.
Moreover, Perisic has scored 30 times in the league since his arrival from Wolfsburg in 2015, 11 of which came last season and only club captain Mauro Icardi (who has 69 goals) has scored more in this time.
Ahead of tomorrow’s match, the Milan based newspaper recall that Perisic has scored twice against Bologna but has never done so at the Stadio Renato Dall’Ara.
