Inter coach Luciano Spalletti analysed the 3-0 victory against Bologna in interview with Inter TV after the match at the Stadio Renato Dall’Ara.
The former Roma coach began by stating that “Immediately we had a couple of great chances to score and I think that at least one of them had to be goal. Because you risk making this game a bit complicated against a well organized opponent. If someone does not make a play it becomes difficult to surprise them, one of the reasons was that we did not manage to get the ball behind their defensive line. We had to manage to get the ball behind their two central defenders, freeing up more space, this was our game plan. In order to use the wings we made a lot of crosses, but since we had a different attack only Perisic managed to take advantage of them.”
What can you tell us about the injured players?
“Thank goodness for the international break that gives us a most wanted break which gives us the opportunity to get more clarity regarding these difficulties.”
Was the Inter’s physicality better today than before?
“The goal we scored turned this game into a different one to the one it was before the it. But already before the goal we were playing with better quality, we were starting to make things differently. Look at Radja’s goal, three passes and then we found the gap, in which he is excellent.”
