Former Inter player, Rafinha, who had a key role last season in bringing Inter back to the UEFA Champions league, will remain as a Barcelona player – at least for the next six months which means that he could face his former teammates in this year’s Champions League competition.
During the last day of the transfer market it seemed that the Brazilian was destined for Spanis La Liga side Real Betis, also AC Milan’s opponents in this years Europa League. but in the end he remained in Barcelona. The reason for this was that Barcelona was not interested in a one year loan deal that would bring the player back in 2019 with only one year left on his contract, expires in June 2020.
So far Rafinha has refused any kind of contract extension, at least according to Calciomercato.com. This means that Inter is starting to dream of something happening during the January transfer market. Inter is missing a midfielder like him and the Brazilian, class of 1993, could come to Inter at a low cost since his contract is expiring the year after.
