€160m Difference Between Incoming & Outgoing Transfers For Italy’s Top Clubs

There is a €160 million difference between incoming and outgoing transfers for Inter, Juventus, Napoli, Roma and Milan over the summer transfer window according to a report from Italian business newspaper Il Sole 24 Ore.

Despite being limited with what they could do in the transfer market due to financial fair play, Inter still managed to welcome no less than seven new faces over the course of the summer. Radja Nainggolan signed from Roma for a total fee worth €38 million while Argentine prospect Lautaro Martinez arrived for a believed circa €20 million from Racing Club. Defenders Stefan de Vrij and Kwadwo Asamoah both arrived on the basis of free transfers from fellow Serie A sides Lazio and Juventus respectively. Inter also paid loan fees for Matteo Politano, Keita Balde and Sime Vrsaljko to Sassuolo, Monaco and Atletico Madrid respectively, with all deals containing an option for the moves to be made permanent for a pre-determined amount.
