FIFA Clear Inter Of Any Wrongdoing In Their Courting Of Luka Modric

World football’s governing body FIFA have thrown out Real Madrid’s complaint in relation to Inter’s alleged behaviour in their courtship of Luka Modric according to a report from Gazzetta dello Sport.

Los Blancos submitted a complaint against the Nerazzurri wherein they claimed that Inter had violated Article 18 of FIFA’s Regulations of the Status and Transfer of Players with regards to the Croatian midfielder. This led to FIFA opening up a preliminary investigation on the matter but after a few weeks they have wrote to both clubs confirming no further action will be taken and thus, Inter have been categorically cleared of any wrongdoing.

It was alleged by the Spanish club that Inter had first approached the 32-year-old midfielder to discuss terms over a transfer before approaching them firstly.

Inter had waited until the bitter end to try and land the 32-year-old but in the end he forced to remain at Real Madrid with club president Florentino Perez refusing to allow him to leave.
