In an interview with Rai Sport, Atalanta manager Gian Piero Gasperini spoke on his disastrous spell in charge of Inter back in the 2011/12 season that lasted just four months.
“My only chance to manage a big club was with Inter but it was very short, I barely even got to start. In that moment then the club was going through moments of great difficulty that were also seen later on too.”
The Italian, who has since found success at the helm of Atalanta where he has been crucial in the churning out of several top young players, then spoke on how he thinks he would handle things if given the opportunity again now.
“If I could would I do it all over again? There was a huge disparity of interpretation in training and in the game, but now I could handle things differently, but managing is not my strength, I much prefer the training aspect.”
