Brozovic’s Release Clause To Be Increased In New Inter Contract

The release clause in Inter midfielder Marcelo Brozovic’s new contract will increase according to a report from Corriere dello Sport.

The renewal is all done and the Rome based newspaper detail that the Croatian midfielder is to be giving a €500,000 raise, taking his annual salary to €3 million per season. The renewal will take his possible stay at Inter past the 2020/21 season when his current and soon to be former contract is due to expire.

In addition to a raise, the 25-year-old’s release clause will be adjusted to compensate for his upturn in form in recent months. Currently set at €50 million, it will see a €10 million increase to €60 million and will remain only valid to clubs outwith Italy.

Brozovic has been on Inter’s books for just shy of four years now and has went on to make 116 appearances in a Nerazzurri shirt, scoring 18 goals while also tallying 19 assists in the process.
