Prior to Inter’s first Champions League game tomorrow night against Tottenham Hotspur, manager Luciano Spalletti spoke to Inter TV on the encounter.

“Last year we suffered a lot to be here. Even if some players are not used to playing in it, I am convinced that the players will be able to understand the beauty and emotions that it brings and then they will not want to do without it going forward.

“Many of our players have played for their national teams in big tournaments but they are now facing this new world so this has to be a stimulus to them. They have to learn to live up to the strengths of their opponents. A desire to do well will become fundamental in the eyes of our fans and will help them go beyond the pressure.”

Spalletti concluded the interview by speaking on Tottenham’s star man Harry Kane.

“They know how to play off of Kane, who is important for his teammates.”
