Gazzetta dello Sport have labelled Steven Zhang’s move to be at Appiano Gentile ahead of Inter vs Tottenham Hotspur as a move akin to one a president would make.
Steven, the son of Inter owner Jingdong, is joining the team to dine before the match and was joined at the training base alongside vice-president Javier Zanetti and sporting director Piero Ausilio according to the report from the Milan based newspaper.
Zhang jr. is widely tipped in the media to succeed from current president Erick Thohir. He [Zhang] has often been praised for being so close to the team, something that can not be said for Thohir who has been increasingly distant since Suning entered the Nerazzurri atmosphere in the summer of 2016 and purchased a majority stake in the club. In the coming months Suning are reportedly going to take complete control of the club and purchase Thohir’s 30% stake from him.
