Contact between Inter officials and the representatives of full back Danilo D’Ambrosio have resumed over a new contract with the club according to a report from FCInterNews.it.

D’Ambrosio is currently under contract at the San Siro through to the end of the 2020/21 season and as per the report, the idea of the Nerazzurri is to extend his contract by a further season, thus making the expiry date June 30, 2022.

All parties involved are happy with the way talks are progressing, talks that are understood to have began 10 days ago. Moreover, the fact the player is happy at the club will make the difference in talks that would appear on the face of it to be rather straightforward.

D’Ambrosio has been with Inter since January 2014 and has went on to make a total of 145 appearances across all competitions, six of which have come during this current season wherein he has scored one goal – a goal that arrived in the 2-1 win over Fiorentina on Tuesday night.
