Sime Vrsaljko’s agent Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Riso has spoken on the interest Napoli showed in the services of his client prior to his move to Inter from Atletico Madrid during the summer.

“The Partenopei fussed far less for him in the most recent transfer window than they did back in the January transfer window,” Riso said in an interview with Radio Marte.

Since arriving at Inter from the Spanish capital club, his season has been disrupted by injury and he has been limited to just two appearances, only one of which has been as a starter.

The Croatian international is expected to be back from injury soon and is sure to be an asset to manager Luciano Spalletti over the course of the season. In his absence, Danilo D’Ambrosio has really stepped up to the mark so getting back in to the team right away may not be a given for him.
