Pirlo: “Inter Have Confidence But Have Been Fragile In The League”

Former Inter midfielder Andrea Pirlo has commented on the current moment that Inter are living in an interview with Italian broadcaster Sky Sport as Inter have stretched their winning run to five games.

“Inter are a team that require confidence to succeed and at the moment they have it. The Champions League is a competition that leads everyone to raise their game. Every now and then the Nerazzurri show some fragility in the league however and this should not occur.”

Pirlo, who played for the Nerazzuri between 1998 and 2001 before departing for cross city rivals Milan, then proceeded to comment on Inter winger Ivan Perisic who was a bit off the boil last night in the 2-1 win over PSV Eindhoven in the Champions League.

Ivan Perisic is the classic example of an inconsistent Eastern European player. He alternates between being very effective in some games and then not at all the following game.”
