Spanish Report Suggests Inter Could Go Back In For Modric

Spanish news outlet Don Balon has taken a look at the reasons behind Luka Modric’s poor start to the campaign in comparison to how he performed last year and over the summer at the World Cup where he was crowned player of the tournament as he lead Croatia to a second placed finish.

They believe that age is beginning to catch up with the 33-year-old midfielder and that he is showing tiredness due to the amount he has played this calendar year. Moreover, Modric and Real Madrid boss Julen Lopetegui are not on the best of terms having had a fall out.

Not only this but their report also suggests that Modric may in fact still be distracted by the transfer talk that surrounded him during the summer. Inter courted him later on in the transfer window albeit to no avail but they could come back in for him in the upcoming January transfer window as per the report.
