Amid links to a number of top European clubs including Inter, PSV Eindhoven winger Steven Bergwijn has downplayed the interest in his services in an interview with de Volkskrant.
“I am not interested in the big clubs or the transfer rumours. I decided to stay at the PSV this summer because I wanted to build upon what was done last season. Manager Mark Van Bommel thinks I am among the best in Europe so I must continue on this path and repay everyone’s trust in me. I am happy that the team is doing well.”
The Dutch youngster has made 13 appearances across all competitions this season, scoring five times while tallying three assists.
Inter’s interest in him aside, Premier League trio Manchester United, Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur as well as Barcelona are all also allegedly interested in signing the 21-year-old who is regarded as one of the top Dutch propsects at the moment.
