Inter and Roma are two of the clubs leading the race for Hector Herrera and according to Corriere dello Sport, the Nerazzurri are ahead of their Giallorossi counterparts.
The 28-year-old midfielder is out of contract with Porto in the summer and without a January sale, the Portuguese giants risk losing him for nothing unless they can tie him down to a new deal. As per the report, the Dragoes are not wanting to sell him in January but could almost be forced to if a good offer comes in.
The report from the Rome based newspaper details that instead of making a move in January, Roma are relying on making a move for him once and if he becomes a free agent in a few months time. Their sporting director Monchi has been speaking with the Mexican’s people for some time over a move to the Stadio Olimpico and will continue to do so.
