Inter will make a move for Cagliari starlet Nicolo Barella in the summer transfer window according to what Calciomercato.com understand.

The Nerazzurri have courted him for a long time and it is understood that Barella’s preference is Inter amid links to Milan and Napoli within Italy and many other clubs further afield in Europe.

Inter would be looking to tie him down to the club for the long term if they are to be successful in signing him and Barella is believed to be happy to sign on until at least 2024 at the San Siro.

Cagliari president Tomasso Giuilini is understandably determined to keep the 21-year-old around at the Sardinian club and is demanding upwards of €50 million to part ways with their star talent. Inter could perhaps bring that price down by inserting some players of interest to the Rossoblu in any deal as they have done in previous deals.
