Modric Against Renewing With Real Madrid Which Could Re-Open The Door To An Inter Move

While seemingly impossible in the upcoming January transfer window, Inter could make a move for Luka Modric again next summer at least according to what FCInterNews.it understand.

Inter tried and failed to sign the Croatian in the past transfer window and Real Madrid are looking to deter the interest by signing him to a new contract. However, Modric may not entertain the contract offer whatsoever due to him disliking the way he is being managed by Los Blancos manager Julen Lopetegui and now he no longer feels central to the project at hand in the Spanish capital.

With him seemingly intent on blocking any new contract, it could force Real Madrid to sit down with clubs in the summer to ensure they get something back for him rather than lose him on a free the following summer.

The report also goes on to state that should Giuseppe Marotta join the Inter board of directors, Inter’s chances of landing the 33-year-old may increase due to the good relations Marotta has with Real Madrid.
