Thohir’s Shares In Inter Valued Between €80-150m

The end is nigh for Erick Thohir at Inter and negotiations with Suning over selling his shares to them are ongoing.

According to a report today published by La Repubblica, his 31% stake in the club is valued at somewhere between €80 and €150 million and they should reach an agreement within this range.

The Indonesian tycoon entered the Nerazzurri in October 2013, purchasing a majority 70% stake in the club from long serving president and owner Massimo Moratti. In 2016, Chinese conglomerate Suning came in and bought shares in the club off of Thohir and swept up Moratti’s remaining shares to make them the majority stakeholders at the club.

On October 26 the annual Inter shareholders meeting is to take place and it is here where Thohir’s exit from the club is expected to be confirmed. With him leaving, he will be vacating his position as club president and the media are tipping Steven Zhang to be his successor.
