Inter & Skriniar Contract Talks Have Taken A ‘Substantial Step Forward’

Talks between Inter and Milan Skriniar’s representatives have continued over a new contract with the most recent talks taking place in the past few days according to a report from FCInterNews.it.

There was what is described as a ‘substantial step forward’ during the talks but there is still some distance between what Inter are offering and what the Slovak defender’s people are looking for.

Inter’s most recent offer consists of an annual salary of €2.7 million plus bonuses while Skriniar’s representatives have requested €3.5 million instead.

The report goes on to state that the two parties could meet somewhere in the middle with a salary of €3-3.2 million with the rest being made up by bonuses.

Skriniar’s current contract runs through to the end of the 2021/22 season but new contract talks have been brought on by his continued good performances for the club and by the wealth of interest in his services with allegeded interest from both Manchester club’s among others.
