Inter sporting director Piero Ausilio spoke with the representatives of Nerazzurri defender Milan Skriniar after the 1-1 draw with Barcelona on Tuesday night to discuss a new contract with the club as per a report from FCInternews.it.
Skriniar is understood to have requested a salary between €3.5 and €4 million while Inter have offered him an annual salary of €2.7 million instead.
With this distance between the two parties, the report states that Barcelona could look to take advantage of it and make a €100 move for him. However, it is understood that Inter would be unwilling to do business for anything less than €120 million.
Real Madrid are also interested according to the report and they had scouts present for Inter’s recent games against Milan and Genoa, who were impressed by the Slovak international’s performances in each of the fixtures.
This term Skriniar has made a total of 13 appearances across all competitions and while he has neither scored nor assisted, he has helped Inter toward six clean sheets.
