Former Inter Midfielder Solari Named Real Madrid Manager

Following a successful period as interim manager, Santiago Solari has been given the permanent position as manager of Real Madrid.

Former Inter midfielder Solari has won all of his interim games in charge of the Spanish giants and has been handed a contract through to the end of the 2020/21 season at the Santiago Bernabeu.

The 42-year-old manager, who up until recently was manager of Real Madrid B, joined Inter from Los Blancos in 2005 and went on to stay at San Siro for a further three years before returning to his native Argentina with San Lorenzo.
