In order to define the exact role that Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta will serve at Inter, there will be another shareholders meeting called according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sky Sport.
The shareholders meeting will not be on the scale of the one held back in October where there was a lot of changes including that of Steven Zhang becoming the new president of the Nerazzurri.
Should Marotta be included as a managing director, either someone will have to leave the current board or someone’s position will be amended so to allow Marotta to become the 10th member of the Inter board.
Recent reports have suggested that Marotta, who is expected to officially join Inter in the coming weeks, will assume the position of chief executive of the club and will deal with the sporting matters while current chief executive Alessandro Antonello will remain in his position but will only deal with administrative matters instead.
