Inter Wanting To Loan Gabigol Out Or Sell Him In January

Inter have already held talks with clubs over taking Gabriel ‘Gabigol’ Barbosa off their hands according to a report from CalcioMercato.com.

The Brazilian striker is on loan with Santos until the end of the calendar year and will return to Inter on January 1 but Inter are hopeful of either loaning him out within Europe or selling him outright during the January transfer window. This because the Nerazzurri bosses have more faith in Yann Karamoh and wish to focus on him in the future rather than Gabigol, who joined in 2016 and ultimately failed to deliver as expected.

The report goes on to detail that talks with Spanish clubs in particular have taken place but as of yet no official offers have been made.

If they must loan him out again, Inter are hoping to avoid repeating his previous loan at Benfica where he saw limited playtime. If Inter decide to sell him, it will take around €20 million to ensure Inter don’t post a loss on the books.
