Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta’s arrival at Inter is on the verge of being made official, at least according to a report from Corriere dello Sport.

Marotta has been in China over the weekend at Suning’s headquarters in Nanjing to hold talks with Inter owner Jindong Zhang and Inter president Steven Zhang and as per the report, all that is missing is official confirmation before his Inter adventure begins.

Marotta will assume the role of chief executive and will deal with all sporting matters but it is currently unclear when he will officially begin in the role and it could be the case that his first game in charge comes against former employers Juventus at the start of December.

The Rome based newspaper go on to report that Marotta will not be given complete control of Inter’s transfer market dealings and it will still be very much down to sporting director Piero Ausilio and his depity Dario Baccin to get things done. Naturally however, Marotta will be involved.
