Inter captain Mauro Icardi has spoken on having the opportunity to wear the number nine shirt for the Argentine national team after he scored his first goal for the national team in their 2-0 international friendly victory over Mexico last night.

“Here I feel important, as I do with Inter. If I now have the chance to wear the number nine shirt in the national team all the time, it is thanks to what I do at club level and that is what I wanted,” he revealed in an interview with Fox Sports Argentina.
