Matteo Politano has asserted his position as one of the more important members of the Inter team this season with his performances in the league and Champions League and at this stage it is difficult to imagine that Inter will not take up their option to make his stay permanent according to a report from Corriere dello Sport.

Initially there were some doubts amongst fans of the club about Politano joining Inter from Sassuolo on loan but he quickly dispersed any of those doubts with his performances in the Nerazzurri shirt so far. Inter paid a sum of €5 million to loan him from the Neroverdi and have an option to make his currently temporary stay in Milan a permanent one for a fee of €20 million.

The 25-year-old winger has made 16 appearances across all competitions to date since his summer arrival and he has scored two goals and tallied two assists along the way.
