Ausilio Looking To Sign A Young Italian Midfielder For Inter

Adding quality to the midfield department is at the heart of Inter’s coming transfer projects as emphasised by Milan based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

If Luka Modric is little more than a dream today, the next few months will be decisive in the realisation of the Nerazzurri’s interest in Stefano Sensi of Sassuolo, for which a market derby has been ignited with Milan in waiting for the evaluation of the Italian from the Neroverdi.

It is no coincidence that sporting director Piero Ausilio is also very attentive of Lorenzo Pellegrini of Roma, Nicolo Barella of Cagliari and Sandro Tonali of Brescia. Inter are clearly interested in strengthening their options in midfield and are looking to the future of the Azzurri for inspiration with all of these players tipped to star for Italy over the coming years.

Inter were heavily linked with an experienced midfielder in the summer window with Arturo Vidal and the aforementioned Modric rumoured to be close but now look to be approaching a young star in the making instead.
