Ahead of tomorrow’s match at home to Frosinone, Inter manager Luciano Spalletti has spoken with Inter TV and firstly spoke on the impact of the fans.
“It is important for us that the fans always keep Inter so close to them, they have a lot of enthusiasm. It is a sign that we have to absorb everything when we wear this shirt, we have to be like them, otherwise we do not deserve to wear it,” he said.
He then went on to reflect upon the loss to Atalanta and gave a general update about the squad.
“These things happen, especially if the opponent proved to be very strong like Atalanta were. Those away on international duty are doing well and those who were here at Pinetina did as well, so we want to do well in the first game of a fixture run that is important for our future.
“Will there be a turnover of players tomorrow? I do not understand the word turnover is used as we have a team of players for Inter. Speaking of starters and reserves is not in our way of reasoning. Clearly, the three points tomorrow are important to us.”
Spalletti proceeded to confirm that his side would be playing with four at the back rather than three and spoke on Keita Balde who is widely expected to start.
“It is possible to play as a three as we can do it easily and we also know how to develop it well but tomorrow we will have four defenders.
“Keita Balde does not lack anything, he is brash but this is a feature of a player who has a lot of drive.”
He concluded with a comment on tomorrow’s opposition.
“I think the same thing of them that I think of us. They are a team trained by people who can play football, with talented players.”
