Santos Resigned To Losing Inter Owned Gabigol At End Of Loan Deal

Santos have now resigned themselves to not being able to hold on to loan star Gabriel ‘Gabigol’ Barbosa, so much so that they have already decided upon his replacement according to a report from UOL Esporte.

The Brazilian striker re-joined the Peixe back in January of this year on a year long loan that is due to expire on December 31.

Gabigol, 22, has used the loan spell to find the form that earned him his €30 million move to Inter back in 2016 that has most definitely not turned out the way anyone expected it to but despite this his Inter career looks to be over.

Despite the club – and player for that matter – stressing a desire to keep going on together, Gabigol will return to Inter who are looking to move him on elsewhere in the January transfer window. As per the report from the Brazilian news outlet, Santos are eyeing up Benfica striker Facundo Ferreyra to replace the 2016 Olympic Gold Medalist going forward.
