Inter chief executive Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta and sporting director Piero Ausilio are hard at work on trying to sign Portuguese talent Trincao, so much so they have overtaken Juventus in the race to secure his signature according to a report from Corriere dello Sport.
Inter’s interest in the Sporting Braga attacker existed prior to Marotta’s arrival at the club but has been strengthened by his arrival at the same time due to the fact Marotta was working to bring him to Juventus while he was there. Ausilio has already held fruitful discussions with his representatives.
The report from the Rome based newspaper goes on to state that Inter could wrap a deal up for the 18-year-old as early as next month.
Trincao is under contract with Braga through to the end of the 2022/23 season and has made six appearances to date this season wherein he has assisted one goal in 317 minutes.
