Inter’s torrid form on the road continued last night as they drew 1-1 away to Chievo Verona at the Stadio Marc’Antonio Bentegodi.
Ivan Perisic struck five minutes before half time and Inter looked set to see the game out but Chievo Verona veteran striker took advantage of a big gap in the Nerazzurri back line to equalise in the final minutes and secure Serie A’s basement boys a vital point.
In Inter’s last five away matches across all competitions they have two draws and three defeats, Corriere dello Sport have highlighted. In fact, Inter have just two wins from their last nine games in total and it highlights Inter’s desperate need for 2 or 3 players accustomed to winning to be added to the team.
After the draw last night, Inter now find themselves eight points adrift of second placed Napoli and have a real challenge on their hands to surmount the gap. In addition to this, Inter are 16 points behind leaders Juventus too.
