Journalist Mario Sconcerti commented on Inter and Roma’s seasons so far in which they have greatly under-performed compared to this time last season.
“The real disappointments are Inter and Roma. The Nerazzurri have seven points less than last year. Roma meanwhile have 14 points less than last year. The biggest disappointment is Roma though as they have never made it clear that they can become a great team,” he told RMC Sport.
He then looked at Luciano Spalletti’s impact at Inter.
“There is no doubt that the coach can make a difference. Allegri and Ancelotti are making a difference to their respective teams that Spalletti has not brought to Inter. Spalletti is 60-years-old and in Italy he has never won anything.
“It is not enough for Spalletti to know how to train his team well. There’s never a reason to sack Spalletti as there is never a real reason to be happy with his work.”
