Lautaro Martinez: “Very Happy To Have Helped The Team, Nainggolan Very Important To Inter”

Inter’s match-winner Lautaro Martinez spoke with the gathered media in the mixed-zone after his injury time strike secured Inter a huge 1-0 win over Napoli at San Siro.

“It is an important goal for me because I have to make the most of every minute available to me, I am very happy to have helped the team. It means a lot because it is important for a striker to score to maintain his confidence and today I have scored a goal and I am very happy about it.

“We all want to do well and we are happy to have won against Napoli and to be back in the race for second place. We have to work and aim for first place too as we are behind but we have to believe in it.”

He also spoke on the support he has received since his summer arrival.

“The fans have always treated me in the best way and now I try to give my best and honour the shirt. For me all the goals are important, I always dedicate goals to my family and the fans.”

He remained tight-lipped when quizzed on Radja Nainggolan who was recently suspended for disciplinary reasons.

“He is a player and an important player at that for us, I have nothing personally to say on the matter as it is something to do with him.”
