Since taking charge of Inter, only Juventus manager Max Allegri has a better record in direct clashes than Luciano Spalletti does, Corriere dello Sport have highlighted.
The Rome based newspaper define the ‘direct clashes’ as games between any of Inter, Juventus, Milan, Lazio, Roma of which Spalletti has lost just two of. Both of the defeats came at the hands of Juventus, the 3-2 loss at San Siro last season and the 1-0 loss in Turin just a few weeks ago.
Juventus have picked up 35 points from a possible 45 in these matches since Spalletti became Inter boss while Inter and Napoli both have 25 points in the same time frame. Spalletti is however ahead of Napoli due to the coaching change that took place at the Partenopei in the Summer.
Roma are in third place with 17 points, Milan are in fourth with 12 points while Lazio have the worst record in the direct clashes having picked up just nine points.
