Roberto Gagliardini has insisted that he and Inter teammates can’t afford to underestimate Sunday’s opponents Benevento as they play host to the Serie B outfit this Sunday in the Coppa Italia.

“This game is important for us to prepare for the second half of the season. We must remember the effort that Pordenone put in last year and we want to get past this round in the Coppa Italia,” the midfielder said in an interview with Inter TV ahead of the clash.

“We have had a week long break however we have been in training for a few days and now we are starting again with important workloads in view of the match.”

He concluded the interview by saying, “We are so keen to win the cup. It is one of the goals of the president to raise a trophy. Benevento is a Serie B team, but they should not be underestimated.”
