Inter Midfielder Joao Mario Offered To Besiktas

According to a report from Turkish news outlet Milliyet, Inter midfielder Joao Mario has been proposed to Turkish Super Lig giants Besiktas.

The Istanbul club’s president Fikret Orman is currently in Italy trying to tie up other deals, namely one for Milan’s Alen Halilovic and the report suggests that the idea of landing Joao Mario has currently been placed on standby.

Milliyet do go on to stress however that Besiktas will be unable to add a player before moving Tolgay Arslan on. The German midfielder is yet to attract sufficient enough offers although it is understood that Besiktas’ arch rivals Fenerbahce are keen.

25-year-old Joao Mario looked certain to leave in the Summer transfer window but has recently become an important part of the Inter team playing in nine (eight of which as a starter) of the Nerazzurri’s last 10 league games. The former Sporting CP man has scored one goal and tallied three assists in the progress.
