Inter midfielder Joao Mario has looked ahead to Inter’s upcoming match with Benevento in the Coppa Italia and has set his sights on silverware.
“When we play we always try to win. In this new year we want to do better than in 2018 and we have two important trophies that we will try to win,” he told Sport Mediaset.
“From the beginning of the season we knew we were a strong team, we always strive to improve our position. I try to always be ready and I am thinking about our next game and for me this is important.
“Benevento has done a lot to reach this game and for this reason we need to face it with the utmost attention. If we want to reach the final we must win.
The Portuguese then went on to speak about fellow midfielder Radja Nainggolan.
“He has so much experience here in Italy. We know that there is a lot of pressure on him here at Inter and sometimes he just gets misunderstood. I think it will do very well in the second part of the season.”
He concluded the interview by speaking about his own personal situation.
“Thanks to the coach and my teammates I regained my confidence and now I am going through a positive spell.”
