There is a meeting scheduled to take place next week between Inter management and Wanda Icardi to continue contract renewal negotiations for her client and husband Mauro Icardi according to Gazzetta dello Sport.

It is understood that there is some distance currently between the parties and Wanda’s recent public comments have complicated the matter.

In recent months Inter offered Icardi €6 million per season but Wanda seems to be unwilling to do business for anything under €8 million as she looks to get her client a big increase on his current deal with the club to bring him in line with the likes of other Serie A stars like Gonzalo Higuain.

Inter are now ready to up their offer by a million to €7 million including bonuses and are hoping to remove his release clause too. It remains to be seen if Wanda will accept Inter’s latest offering on behalf of the Inter captain but it seems as if she is really pushing for around €9 million.
