Rapid Vienna captain Stefan Schwab has looked ahead to the Austrian side’s match with Inter as he discussed the return to training after the winter break.
“It is important for us to prepare well in order for everything to go well and to stay in good condition. We have very difficult matches ahead of us and we will soon see which direction our season will go,” the 28-year-old Austrian midfielder said in an interview with ORF.at, on the sidelines of Rapid’s first training session of the year.
He then went on to discuss the upcoming games that await himself and his teammates, including the match with Inter next month.
“Our first matches back are already crucial. We have two important games against Inter in the Europa League and then we have to think about playing Hartberg in the league too.
Schwab has played in all bar one of Rapid’s 31 competitive games since the season began and has contributed three goals and four assists in over 2500 minutes.
