Despite already confirming the move himself yesterday, Gabriel ‘Gabigol’ Barbosa’s move from Inter to Flamengo is lacking official confirmation from the clubs.
According to a report from Colunadoflamengo.com, Flamengo are waiting on a document signed by Inter to arrive before being able to announce the arrival of the 22-year-old striker on a dry loan.
The Brazilian enjoyed a successful loan spell at Santos during 2018, scoring 18 goals in 35 league appearances that won him the Campeonato Brasileiro Série A top scorer award.
Prior to this deal being agreed, he was subject to interest from West Ham United and Fulham from the Premier League but issues concerning the gaining of a UK work permit prevented any move from happening.
