Gazzetta dello Sport have taken a look at how life has treated Lautaro Martinez at Inter since his Summer arrival at the club.
A return of 5 goals in 16 appearances across all competitions is certainly a good return especially when you consider the Argentine has been given just 584 minutes of action.
Lautaro averages a goal every 117 minutes, better even than teammate Mauro Icardi and multi-time world player of the year Cristiano Ronaldo, a stat which highlights his time with the Nerazzurri so far has been positive.
On several occasions, most recently against Napoli – as he came on late on and scored the winning goal in injury time – he has come off the bench and made a difference.
The Milan based newspaper do go on to stress that he must keep up the hard work in training and make the most of any opportunity afforded to him.
Gazzetta predict that after his double against Benevento he could be used again in the latter stages of the Coppa Italia and he may also get more opportunities as a result of Inter’s participation in the Europa League.
Off the pitch is where his only negative moment has come. That moment arrived when his father took to social media to attack Inter manager Luciano Spalletti over how he was utilising his son.
